Forget the Ipads, phones and laptops at home - this farm cottage begs every visitor to be fully present in body, mind and spirit. An idyllically peaceful farm stay and a wonderful opportunity to escape from big-busy-city-living and to reconnect with each other. In the words of our 13-year old... "Schedule for the day
- Have some delicious bacon and egg rolls (cooked in the skottle on the stoep
- Say hi to our donkey friends (they come to visit, asking to be fed carrots and cucumbers
- Then go for a walk in the forest and race our stick-boats in the stream
❤️ could it get any better?!"

We had a great short- breakaway with the kids at The Little Farmhouse. We felt away from it all and had great family time. The house was comfortable and well equipped for self catering.Great fireplace, friendly donkeys strolling by in the evening.. It felt private and characterful in a forest like setting and only a few minutes from Stanford. Highly recommended.

We were 6 friends and one child seeking a getaway for the long weekend. The little farmhouse was exactly this. It is a little gem, nestled away in the woods, it feels like you are away from civilisation, but close enough to Stanford for great restaurants, etc. There is very little cellphone signal, which makes the break so much more relaxing. The braai under the trees was amazing and the donkeys were a highlight. We were there on a very cold weekend, but they provide us with enough fire wood and more than enough bedding, so it was all good. The house is clean and comfortable. I highly recommend this place and we will surely return.
