Private. The kids loved the trees for climbing, collecting eggs, feeding the donkey’s and swimming in the dam. The wood fired hot tub was lovely in the evening and the outside shower and bath was used more than the inside. The house is simple but has everything. Best thing was the lack of cell reception in the house.

Our family of 5 had a very relaxing and peaceful 3 night stay, very little cellphone reception (great!!) which meant no distractions from family time. The little farmhouse is a bit dated but the peacefulness of the whole experience more than made up for this. The wood fired hot tub was a winner and kept the kids entertained. The hosts are fantastic, quick to respond, deliver wood, and help where needed. Thank you so much to Kevin and Nats!

Magical.
We stayed at Overberg Gems - The Little Farmhouse for a silent retreat. It was peaceful and beautiful. But we were there for the flooding! Kevin - the farmer couldn't have been kinder - checked in on us to see if we were okay, brought extra wood when the electricity went down, let us stay an extra night for free when we got stuck there due to road closures in the storm. They also gave us a bowl of fresh farm eggs to welcome us. Wonderful people.

Exactly what we needed!
A gorgeous setting, a quiet breakaway. One of those magical places that makes a weekend getaway feel like you've had a week of rest. The animals, the stars, the hot tub, the bed on the porch and the inside fireplace really make for a fabulous spot in Summer or Winter! The town is also super close and there is a market on Saturdays.
